Thanksgiving 2009

It was a weekend that will go down in the history books! We had an awesome weekend with my parents. They came in on Wednesday afternoon but I had to go back to work until almost 7:00, which really stunk. I don't really remember that evening at all. But Thursday was Thanksgiving, so mom and I cooked all morning and we sat down to eat at about 2pm, only an hour later than we anticipated. The food came out beautifully, no complaints, even from Elijah! Joe and my Dad cleaned the kitchen while I ran around outside with E, playing games and taking pictures. He had a great time trying to get the perfect shot of him jumping out of a tree. The rest of the afternoon was pretty lazy. That evening, our friend Tyree came over to get away from his in-laws and watch football with Joe. Mom and I watched a movie in my room and had some really good girl talk :) Friday, I took the parents to base and showed them the air park. Its about a two mile walk with all kinds of old planes to look at. I got to show them the B-one and the C-130, both of which I work on every day! We were pretty tired when we got home, but mom and I whipped up some turkey and dumplings and we all sat down and watched Transformers 2. Most of us liked the movie. Saturday Joe had to go back to work, but the rest of us went to the Prairie Dog Park. Afterwards we went just a few miles down from our house and toured the Buffalo Gap Historic Village. It was a lot of fun. We went out to Little Italy for dinner where they had a lovely guitarist playing all kinds of holiday tunes and some oldies too. All in all it was a great weekend. We all had time to sit around and relax, talk, and just be together. So much fun! I can't wait to get together again with everyone. Summer of 2011, right? And we should have at least one more cousin then, right?
